Industry Calls: Collision Industry Foundation Opens Board Applications for Key Positions

The Collision Industry Foundation (CIF) has announced that applications are now open for individuals from the collision repair industry to serve on its Board of Trustees. The application period will remain open until September 30. CIF is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing emergency relief to collision repair professionals who have been affected by natural disasters or other catastrophic events, assisting them when they have experienced significant losses.
Serving as a CIF trustee is a voluntary commitment, with board members donating their time and expertise to lead the organization. Their primary responsibilities include furthering CIF's vision to offer emergency aid and its mission to secure and distribute donations to industry workers in need. Dan Risley, vice president of market development at CCC Intelligent Solutions and CIF immediate past president, emphasized the importance of this call to action, stating, “We encourage industry professionals to join our efforts to serve those within our industry in their time of need. Serving as a trustee is gratifying as we make a difference when it matters most. We are seeking several new board members to join our efforts.”
The commitment for an elected trustee involves a three-year term. There are a total of seven board meetings held throughout the year. Two of these meetings are conducted in person, strategically scheduled to coincide with other major collision industry events in January and July. The remaining five board meetings are held virtually via conference call, each lasting approximately 90 minutes. Newly elected trustees will be officially sworn in and commence their terms following the conclusion of the January 2026 board meeting.
Interested industry professionals can find and complete the application form on the CIF website. For any questions regarding CIF or the election process for board positions, inquiries can be directed to CIF administrator Petra Schroeder at [email protected], or to CIF President Casey Steffen at [email protected].
