Hollywood's Hottest Dad-to-Be! Pete Davidson & Elsie Hewitt Expecting Baby

Comedian Pete Davidson, 31, and model Elsie Hewitt, 29, are set to embark on a new chapter as expectant parents. Hewitt shared the joyful news on Wednesday, July 16, via an Instagram post featuring several photos of the couple and videos from an ultrasound. Her candid caption, “Welp now everyone knows we had sex,” playfully announced their pregnancy, which will bring their first child into the world. Davidson, who does not use social media, confirmed the news and expressed his overwhelming excitement in an interview with Entertainment Tonight on July 22, stating, “I honestly couldn’t be more excited. It’s been my dream forever since I was a little kid. The baby’s mother is one of my favorite people to ever exist ever. She’s going to be a great mom and I’m just stoked. I hope to be the dad I hoped that I would have.”
Davidson’s desire for fatherhood is a long-held dream, a sentiment he shared with fellow comedian Kevin Hart in 2022. At the time, he told Hart, “My favorite thing ever, which I have yet to achieve, is I want to have a kid. It’s like my dream.” He added, “It would be so fun to dress up a little dude. I’m so excited for, like, that chapter. So that’s kind of what I’m just preparing for now. I’m trying to be as good as a dude and develop and get better so when that happens, it’s just easier.” Reflecting on this new phase during an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Davidson remarked, “Everything else doesn’t really matter anymore. It’s nice.” This aspiration takes on a poignant meaning given that Davidson’s father, a New York City firefighter, tragically passed away on September 11, 2001, when Pete was just seven years old.
The announcement garnered a wave of congratulations from friends and fans alike. Rapper Machine Gun Kelly, a close friend of Davidson, commented on Hewitt’s post, “These playdates bout to hittttt,” referencing his own experience of welcoming a daughter with ex-girlfriend Megan Fox earlier this year. MGK had previously revealed Davidson would be a groomsman in his wedding, highlighting their strong bond. Hewitt’s best friend, model Meredith Mickelson, also expressed her joy, writing, “My bestie is having my mini bestie which means my life is complete,” and later adding, “I’M SO HAPPY. BEST MOMMY EVERRRRR.” A source for E! News reported that Davidson’s mother, Amy Waters, is “thrilled” by the news and “can’t wait to become a grandma.”
Davidson and Hewitt were first publicly linked in March, as reported by the Associated Press, and have maintained a relatively private relationship over the past four months. This low-key approach stands in contrast to Davidson’s previous high-profile romances with celebrities like Ariana Grande, Kim Kardashian, and Madelyn Cline. Hewitt has occasionally shared glimpses of their time together on social media. She has also been open about her personal struggles, particularly with endometriosis. Hewitt underwent surgery for the condition in November and spoke out on TikTok in December about the chronic pain and symptoms she has experienced, noting how it impacted her career opportunities. Her transparency sheds light on a significant aspect of her personal journey.
