Grealish's Season Ends Abruptly with Foot Surgery

Everton forward Jack Grealish has confirmed that his season is over after undergoing surgery on a foot injury he suffered in January.

Grealish, who joined Everton on a season-long loan from Manchester City last summer, had become an important player for the club, recording two goals and six assists in the Premier League.

His strong performances made him a key figure in David Moyes’ squad, but the injury has now brought his loan spell to an early end.

The 30-year-old expressed his disappointment in a message on social media, saying, “Didn’t want the season to end like this but that’s football, gutted. Surgery done and now all focus on getting back fit. I know for sure I will come back fitter, stronger and better than before.”

He also thanked Everton for their support, adding, “The support I’ve had since coming to this unbelievable club has meant the world to me. The staff, my teammates and especially the fans have been incredible and I absolutely love representing this club.” Grealish said he would continue supporting the team and focus on his recovery.

The injury brings an unfortunate end to what had been a successful loan spell and also ends his chances of being selected for Thomas Tuchel’s England squad for the upcoming World Cup in the United States, Mexico, and Canada this summer.
