Global Sensation Davido Joins FIFA's 2026 World Cup Kickoff Concert in LA!
The global football governing body, FIFA, has officially announced that Nigerian afrobeats superstar David Adeleke, famously known as Davido, will be a headline performer at the highly anticipated 2026 World Cup Countdown Concert series. This electrifying event is scheduled for Wednesday, June 10, at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, marking a significant step in the build-up to the prestigious international tournament.
In a recent press release, FIFA confirmed that Davido will share the stage with Diplo’s acclaimed electronic music group, Major Lazer, during the Los Angeles leg of the concert series. Further artists are expected to be unveiled in the coming weeks, promising an even more diverse and star-studded lineup. This concert is part of an innovative, synchronized live music series designed to span across all three host nations of the 2026 World Cup: Canada, Mexico, and the United States.
FIFA expressed immense enthusiasm for the event, stating, “Los Angeles is set for an electrifying celebration, with Major Lazer and Davido as the first confirmed acts for what will be a memorable night blending music, football, and culture.” The doors for the show at the Crypto.com Arena will open at 5:00 p.m. PT, with the live broadcast commencing at 6:00 p.m. PT. This Los Angeles event will be seamlessly connected to simultaneous performances occurring in Mexico City and Toronto, all of which will be live-streamed as part of a grand cross-continental concert experience.
Manolo Zubiria, FIFA World Cup 2026 Chief Tournament Officer for the USA, underscored the concert series’ importance, remarking, “The Countdown Concert series captures the excitement, unity, and cultural ties that define the 2026 World Cup. Just two days before the first match on US soil, Los Angeles—one of the world’s great entertainment hubs—will deliver an incredible show featuring top talent, bringing together football, music, and fans in a worldwide celebration as we get ready to welcome the globe.”
Fans eager to attend the Los Angeles concert can purchase tickets starting Wednesday, June 3, at 10:00 a.m. PST. For those unable to attend in person, the entire event will be streamed globally across FIFA’s official digital channels, including an exclusive social media livestream on the FIFA World Cup TikTok account. Additionally, full concert footage and engaging behind-the-scenes content will be made available the day after the event on VuMe Live, FIFA’s dedicated on-demand platform.
