Talented Nigerian Afrobeats sensation Fireboy DML has announced and released his fifth studio album, titled "ZUKO!". Known as one of the most gifted Afrobeats artists of recent times, Fireboy DML continues to evolve his musical identity, a journey evident since his groundbreaking debut.
His first album, "Laughter, Tears and Goosebumps," released in 2019, uniquely featured no collaborations—a distinction that set him apart. Now, "ZUKO!" represents another significant invention in his creative evolution, showcasing new personas and artistic directions.
The new project, a comprehensive 13-track album, was released through YBNL Nation and EMPIRE. It features a diverse array of artists, including Nigerian acts Lojay and Judah Earl, Jamaican dancehall star Masicka, and South African talents JAZZWRLD and Thukuthela.
The album opens with "Dear Father," featuring Judah Earl, followed by tracks such as "By Fire!" and "CLAAT!", which includes Masicka. Other notable collaborations are "GODDESS" with Lojay, and "IMALI" featuring JAZZWRLD and Thukuthela. The remaining compelling tracks on "ZUKO!" are "C’EST LA VIE," "ONE MAN REGIMENT," "KILOWI," "ONAZO!," "S.L.U.T (SEX LOVE UNDERSTANDING TRUST)," "LIGHT OF DAWN," "MIMI NAWE," and "FIGHTING."
