Fiery Feud: Atiku's Aide Slams Reno Omokri Over Explosive Genocide Claim

Paul Ibe, a prominent media aide to former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, has publicly challenged former presidential aide Reno Omokri following serious allegations made against Omokri by Mike Arnold, founder of Africa Arise International. The controversy stems from Arnold's recent fact-finding mission to Nigeria, focused on claims of religious persecution. This visit, reportedly arranged by Omokri, took an unexpected turn when Arnold accused Omokri of insincerity and manipulation.
Arnold articulated his accusations in a series of posts on X (formerly Twitter), asserting that Omokri’s actions were driven by personal interest rather than genuine advocacy for the causes he espoused. These public statements by Arnold have ignited widespread discussion and reactions across online platforms, with Omokri yet to issue any formal rebuttal or clarification on the matter.
Reacting to the burgeoning controversy, Paul Ibe took to his own X handle on Friday, directly calling upon Omokri to address the allegations comprehensively and to clarify his stance. Ibe referenced an earlier post from June, stating that Arnold’s recent revelations had unequivocally validated his previously expressed concerns regarding Omokri’s credibility and consistency. Ibe stated, “In light of the revelations made by Mike Arnold about Reno Omokri, it has become necessary to restate my earlier position. Arnold’s comments have confirmed that Reno cannot be taken seriously.”
Furthermore, Ibe intensified his criticism by accusing Omokri of exhibiting inconsistency and engaging in self-serving political behavior. He challenged Omokri to provide explanations for his shifting positions on significant national issues and his past criticisms of various political figures. Ibe also highlighted Omokri’s noticeable silence on certain ongoing controversies, specifically mentioning unresolved questions surrounding President Bola Tinubu’s academic records. In doing so, Ibe urged Omokri to “remain consistent” in his calls for transparency and accountability from others.
As of the time of reporting, Reno Omokri has maintained silence, offering no public response to either the initial accusations leveled by Mike Arnold or the subsequent remarks and challenges posed by Paul Ibe.
