Epstein Scandal Explodes: New Emails Implicate Royal and Political Figures

Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche announced the public release of at least three million new Jeffrey Epstein files, adding to the hundreds of thousands of documents previously made public by the House Committee on Oversight in late 2025. These files, released following Epstein's death in 2019, include disturbing photographs of women's bodies, harrowing notes, and references to famous figures such as former President Bill Clinton and Michael Jackson. Previous document dumps had faced backlash due to heavy redactions by the Justice Department, which cited victims' privacy, national security, and other sensitive interests.
Among the significant revelations, Ghislaine Maxwell, a close associate of Epstein, claimed in a December 17 habeas corpus petition seeking to overturn her conviction that 29 of Epstein's associates were shielded through 'secret settlements' with the Justice Department. It was also noted that being named or pictured in the files does not necessarily indicate wrongdoing.
Several prominent individuals are mentioned in the newly released documents. Zohran Mamdani's film director mother, Mira Nair, was included in a 2009 email from publicist Peggy Siegal to Epstein. The email detailed an after-party for Nair's film 'Amelia,' where Bill Clinton and Jeff Bezos were present, suggesting a connection through social events.
Elon Musk also appeared in the files. In a November 25, 2012, email to Epstein, Musk inquired, 'What day/night will be the wildest party on =our (sic) island?', referencing his then-wife, Talulah Riley. This inquiry came despite Epstein having already been convicted of sex crimes against minors in Florida. Musk's appearance follows his previous accusations against Donald Trump regarding the documents.
Kathryn Ruemmler, a top lawyer at Goldman Sachs and former White House counsel to President Barack Obama, repeatedly appeared in the files. The latest release shows Ruemmler praising 'wonderful Jeffrey' in December 2015 emails, discussing a first-class trip to Europe on Epstein's credit card, six years after his initial prison sentence.
An email signed 'Love, Melania' and seemingly addressed to Ghislaine Maxwell was found in the October 23, 2002, tranche of files. The message began, 'Dear G! How are you? Nice story about JE in NY mag. You look great on the picture.' The names of the sender and recipient were redacted, and it remains unclear if it was sent by the First Lady.
Bill Gates issued a furious denial to Epstein's allegations that he contracted a sexually transmitted disease from 'Russian girls,' obtained antibiotics from Epstein, and secretly gave them to Melinda Gates.
Prince Andrew, Duke of York, features prominently across multiple emails. In August 2010, Epstein arranged for Andrew to have dinner with a '26, russian, clevere beautiful and trustworthy' woman named Irina in London. Andrew, responding to a contact saved as 'The Duke,' expressed delight and asked for Irina's contact details. Other messages from 2010 suggest Andrew invited Epstein to Buckingham Palace for dinner to ensure 'lots of privacy.' Andrew was later pictured with Epstein in Central Park, New York, in December 2010. Furthermore, a private screening of 'The King's Speech' was arranged for him by publicist Peggy Siegal in November 2010, the email for which was forwarded to Epstein.
Earlier emails from August 2002 between Ghislaine Maxwell and 'The Invisible Man,' believed to be Andrew, showed Maxwell referring to him as 'Andrew sweetheart' and 'sweat pea.' In one exchange, after Andrew declined an invite to 'the Island' to spend time with Sarah Ferguson and his children, Maxwell joked that '5 stunning red heads' would 'have to play with ourselves.'
Andrew was also referred to as 'super sperm' by a redacted sender in an email asking if he was having more children. Despite his strenuous denials of wrongdoing regarding his association with Epstein, Andrew paid millions to settle a civil sexual assault claim with Virginia Giuffre in 2022 and stepped down from royal duties in 2019, leading to King Charles III stripping him of his HRH style and prince title.
The files also revealed details of Epstein's 'sickening routine' of raping underage girls multiple times a day, as outlined in a 2010 civil complaint filed in Florida by an alleged victim. Additionally, a redacted September 2012 email showed an inquiry about Epstein visiting Mar-a-Lago after Christmas instead of his island.
The Department of Justice issued a warning that the newly released files might contain 'untrue' and 'sensationalist claims' against President Trump, stating that such content, including fake images or documents, was included if submitted to the FBI and responsive to the Act. These claims were described as unfounded and false. Furthermore, during a 2016 deposition in Virginia Giuffre's defamation lawsuit against Maxwell, Epstein invoked the Fifth Amendment when asked about his relationship with Bill Clinton, declining to describe their dinners or shared locations.
Epstein was found dead in his jail cell in August 2019 while awaiting trial on sex trafficking charges, with his death ruled a suicide. The latest release, including over 2,000 videos and 180,000 images, is expected to be the last drop of files.
