UN Experts Investigate Epstein Files, Explore Potential Crimes Against Humanity

Pressure is growing on Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor as UK police investigate his links to Jeffrey Epstein following the release of the Epstein files.
Essex, Thames Valley, Surrey, and Metropolitan Police are looking into allegations of sex trafficking via private flights from Stansted Airport and reports of sexual encounters at Andrew’s Royal Lodge home.
There are also questions about whether he misused his position as a UK trade envoy from 2001 to 2011.
The former Duke of York, who lost his royal titles due to his Epstein ties, faces calls for a full criminal investigation.
Flight logs show Epstein’s “Lolita Express” flew in and out of UK airports up to 90 times from the 1990s to 2018, often carrying suspected victims.
Former Prime Minister Gordon Brown urged police to investigate these flights and interview Andrew.
The National Police Chiefs’ Council has formed a national coordination group to oversee these probes, which also involve Peter Mandelson over claims he leaked confidential information to Epstein.
A U.S. lawyer for Virginia Giuffre called for Andrew to get “safe passage” to testify, though he denies wrongdoing.
UN experts have described Epstein’s network as a “global criminal enterprise” that committed acts amounting to crimes against humanity, fueled by misogyny, corruption, and racism.
They stressed the need for thorough investigations and warned that the released files have retraumatized over 1,200 victims.
The files have damaged reputations worldwide.
Victoria’s Secret founder Les Wexner will be deposed but denies involvement.
Melinda Gates said the files revisited painful moments in her marriage, including an unproven claim that Bill Gates contracted an STD,influencing their 2021 divorce.
Hollywood and business figures have also been affected.
Barry Josephson’s wife divorced him over Epstein links, Casey Wasserman lost clients and faced calls to resign from the LA28 Olympics.
Wall Street billionaire Leon Black resigned from MoMA and Apollo Global Management, settling claims with the U.S. Virgin Islands.
Even after Epstein’s 2008 conviction for soliciting sex from a minor, he maintained influence through his wealth and connections in the Hamptons and elsewhere, including ties to Andrew Farkas, Steve Hanson, Michael Borrico, Jean-Luc Brunel, Michael Wolff, Mort Zuckerman, Tommy Mottola, Faith Kates, Jes Staley, Peggy Siegal, Rich Kahn, Darren Indyke, and Howard Lutnick.
The Epstein files continue to reveal a vast network and its serious societal consequences.
