Country Sensation Ella Langley Dominates Billboard Hot 100!

Country music artist Ella Langley has made significant history, securing her first No. 1 hit on the all-genre Billboard Hot 100 chart with her track “Choosin’ Texas.” This achievement marks a pivotal moment in her career and for women in country music.
The catchy country tune, co-written by Langley alongside Grammy winner Miranda Lambert, JoyBeth Taylor, and Luke Dick, ascended to the top spot, making Langley the first woman ever to simultaneously lead Billboard’s Hot 100, Country Airplay, and Hot Country Songs charts. This rare feat has only been accomplished by a select few other songs: Post Malone’s “I Had Some Help” (featuring Morgan Wallen), Shaboozey’s “Tipsy (A Bar Song),” and Wallen’s “Last Night.”
“Choosin’ Texas” has demonstrated remarkable staying power, spending its eleventh consecutive week at the pinnacle of the multimetric Hot Country Songs chart, and now, its inaugural week atop the radio-based Country Airplay chart. The song is featured on Langley’s anticipated forthcoming album, Dandelion, which is set for release on April 10.
Langley shared her excitement about the record-breaking success on social media, posting a video on Instagram captioned, “We did it!! Choosin’ Texas is the #1 song on the @billboard #Hot100 🤯🥹 I can’t thank y’all enough for what you’ve done with this song, it blows my mind every single day. Here’s to women & country music.”
The news garnered widespread reactions from across the music industry. Miranda Lambert celebrated Langley’s success by sharing an image of her and commenting, “LEGEND.” Co-writer Luke Dick added “Amen,” while JoyBeth Taylor shared a Hot 100 chart image highlighting “Choosin’ Texas” at No. 1, remarking, “Making history.” Other notable artists who chimed in with congratulations included Tanya Tucker (“You go girl”), Tigirlily (“So huge! Congrats Ella!”), George Birge (“Historic” with emojis), Graham Barham (“Go Shawty”), and Emily Ann Roberts (“I could literally cry right now I’m so proud.”).
Looking ahead, Langley is preparing to launch her headlining Dandelion Tour, commencing on May 7 in Ohio. The tour will feature various opening acts, including Kameron Marlowe, Dylan Marlowe, Kaitlin Butts, Gabriella Rose, and Laci Kaye Booth. Additionally, Langley is slated to perform as an opener for Eric Church’s Free the Machine Tour and Morgan Wallen’s Still the Problem Tour.
