Cardi B Unleashes Explosive New Album ‘Am I the Drama?’ with Star-Studded Features

Seven years following the release of her acclaimed debut, "Invasion of Privacy," Bronx native Cardi B has officially launched her highly anticipated sophomore album, "Am I the Drama?" The album, which arrived on Friday, September 19, features a substantial 23 tracks, incorporating previously released singles such as “WAP,” “Up,” “Outside,” and “Imaginary Playerz.”
The project is notable for its impressive roster of collaborators, bringing together a star-studded cast across various tracks. Featured artists include Summer Walker on “Dead” and “Shower Tears,” Selena Gomez on “Pick It Up,” Kehlani on “Safe,” Lizzo on “What’s Goin On,” Cash Cobain on “Better Than You,” Lourdiz on “On My Back,” Janet Jackson on “Principal,” Tyla on “Nice Guy,” and Megan Thee Stallion, who reunites with Cardi B on “WAP.”
Cardi B’s album rollout was multifaceted and innovative, showcasing her signature style. This included transforming photos from her courthouse trips and her civil lawsuit victory into distinctive alternate album covers. Additionally, she paid homage to her roots with authentic New York City subway skits designed to promote the album.
Reflecting on the extended period between her two major releases, Cardi B shared insights into her personal and professional growth. She told Billboard, "Since then, I’ve experienced a lot. The good and bad of fame, the hate, jealousy, drama, balancing my career with my personal life and growing up and maturing.” She further elaborated on her development, stating, “I’ve learned to control my emotions and understand how life works and how to play chess better.”
Adding to the significant developments in her life, Cardi B revealed her fourth pregnancy during an interview with CBS Mornings’ Gayle King on Wednesday, September 17. This will be her first child with her boyfriend, NFL star Stefon Diggs. Expressing her joy and resilience, Cardi B told King, “Yes, I am [pregnant]. I’m having a baby with my boyfriend, Stefon Diggs. I’m excited. I’m happy. I feel like I’m in a good space. I feel very strong. I feel very powerful that I’m doing all this work. But I’m doing all this work while I’m creating a baby, and me and my man, we’re very supportive of each other.”
Looking ahead, Cardi B plans to embark on her first solo headlining arena trek, the "Little Miss Drama Tour," in 2026, following the birth of her baby. Fans can now stream "Am I the Drama?" across platforms.
