Cardi B Scores Second No. 1 on Billboard 200 with ‘AM I THE DRAMA?’

Cardi B has secured her second No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart with her latest release, AM I THE DRAMA?, debuting atop the tally dated October 4, 2025. The album earned an impressive 200,000 equivalent album units in the U.S. during the week ending September 25, marking the biggest week for an R&B/hip-hop album by a woman in 2025. This follows her chart-topping debut, Invasion of Privacy (2018).
Streaming Equivalent Album (SEA) units accounted for 110,000, totaling 145.72 million on-demand official streams, while album sales contributed 88,000 units and Track Equivalent Album (TEA) units made up 2,000. The album’s first-week performance was boosted by multiple editions, including digital, CD, vinyl, iTunes/Apple Music, webstore-exclusive, and deluxe boxed sets. Some physical editions featured signed copies and “courtroom edition” covers referencing her widely publicized trial.
Cardi B actively promoted the album, visiting record stores and major retailers like Hot Topic and Walmart, engaging fans through meet-and-greets and photo opportunities. Hit singles featured on the album include “Outside” (No. 10), “Imaginary Playerz” (No. 70), “Up” (No. 1 in 2021), and “WAP” (featuring Megan Thee Stallion, No. 1 in 2020).
Also notable on the Billboard 200, Nine Inch Nails’ TRON: Ares soundtrack debuted at No. 5 with 45,000 equivalent units, marking the band’s first top 10 entry since 2013. The album is tied to the upcoming third Tron film and benefited from multiple vinyl, CD, cassette, and digital editions.
The latest Billboard 200 top 10 also features Morgan Wallen (I’m the Problem, No. 3), Sabrina Carpenter (Man’s Best Friend, No. 4), Alex Warren (You’ll Be Alright, Kid, No. 6), SZA (SOS, No. 7), Justin Bieber (SWAG, No. 9), and Bad Bunny (DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS, No. 10). The presence of two soundtracks in the top five—KPop Demon Hunters (No. 2) and TRON: Ares (No. 5)—is a rare occurrence last seen in 2019 with A Star Is Born and Bohemian Rhapsody.
The Billboard 200 ranks albums using multi-metric consumption, measured in equivalent album units compiled by Luminate. One unit equals one album sale, 10 individual tracks sold (TEA), or 3,750 ad-supported/1,250 paid/subscription streams (SEA). Luminate reviews and authenticates all data before Billboard publishes final chart positions.
