In accordance with Islamic rites, the deceased will be laid to rest in his hometown, Wamba. The State Secretary of the APC, Chief Otaru Douglas, officially confirmed the demise of the prominent party chieftain to newsmen, describing his passing as a profound loss not only for the party but for the entire state of Nasarawa.
Prior to assuming the role of the party's deputy chairman, Hon. Aliyu Yakubu Barde had a notable political career, having served as the Interim Management Committee (IMC) Chairman of the Wamba local government area.
