BBNaija Season 11 Twist: Chimsom Wins First Head of House as New Reward System Emerges
Chimsom Chuka has emerged as the first Head of House for Big Brother Naija season 11, winning the opening challenge and securing immunity from eviction. This season introduces a new twist where the HoH does not occupy the luxury lounge, with Tram and Sheba enjoying the suite instead. Twenty-four housemates are competing for a record-breaking N160 million grand prize.
Chimsom Chuka has become the first Head of House (HoH) of Big Brother Naija Season 11 after winning the inaugural challenge just one day after the show's premiere. The 24 housemates battled in separate male and female rounds before the fastest contestants advanced to the final, where Chimsom secured victory with a time of 2 minutes and 8 seconds. Abi finished as runner-up and was named Deputy Head of House, while Chimsom earned immunity from this week's eviction.
This season introduces a major change to the traditional HoH privileges, with the winner no longer automatically receiving access to the exclusive HoH lounge. Instead, Big Brother introduced a lucky dip system that allows another housemate to enjoy the luxury suite for the week. Tram emerged as the lucky beneficiary and was granted the opportunity to select a companion, choosing Sheba to share the lounge with him.
The new format means Chimsom's reward is limited to eviction immunity despite winning the highly contested challenge. Big Brother Naija Season 11, themed "Show Yourself" and hosted by Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, will run for 72 days, with housemates competing for a record-breaking grand prize worth N160 million, including N100 million in cash, a brand-new SUV and other sponsored rewards.
