BBNaija Sensation Tacha Dares 24-Hour Guinness World Record Beauty Marathon!

Reality TV star and entrepreneur, Natacha Akide, popularly known as Tacha, has embarked on a highly anticipated 24-hour Guinness World Record (GWR) beauty marathon in Lagos. This ambitious endeavor aims to set a new record for the most makeovers completed within a 24-hour period. The challenge officially began at 8:00 pm on Saturday at the John Randle Centre for Yorùbá Culture & History, Lagos, as a key component of the ongoing Tacha Beauty Festival, which is scheduled from October 10 to 12, 2025.
According to Tacha's team, the marathon is an intensive undertaking involving 150 models, with Tacha and her dedicated crew working relentlessly for 24 continuous hours. This effort is a pioneering feat intended to make history in Nigeria’s beauty industry, marking a first-of-its-kind achievement. Prior to the commencement of the event, the reality star took a deeply emotional moment to honor her late mother. A prominently displayed banner at the venue bore a heartfelt message: “Every makeover, every smile, every moment today is for you. Your legacy lives through me.” Tacha was observed kneeling in quiet reflection and prayer in front of the banner before officially starting her record attempt.
The event attracted an overwhelming crowd, comprising numerous fans, influential personalities, and celebrities. Notable figures in attendance included celebrity chef Hilda Baci, comedian Broda Shaggi, beauty entrepreneur Dabota Lawson, and other media personalities such as Nons Miraj, Liquorose, Somadina Anyama, and Samuel Banks, all present to lend their support to the media personality’s ambitious project. The organizers maintained a structured process, ensuring models were attended to in an organized manner, although some participants expressed minor concerns regarding meal delays due to the massive turnout. The marathon is expected to continue through the night and conclude on Sunday, after which all official documentation and video evidence will be meticulously submitted to Guinness World Records for thorough verification. If successfully verified, Tacha’s attempt could represent another significant milestone for Nigeria in the global record books, building upon the recent achievements of other Nigerian record-breakers like celebrity chef Hilda Baci.
