Ariana Grande's Bold 2026 Tour: Half the Venues, Full Impact!

Ariana Grande is embarking on a new professional chapter, fundamentally rethinking the nature of touring as she prepares for her upcoming "Eternal Sunshine" world tour. In a revealing conversation with Nicole Kidman for Interview magazine, published on November 24, Grande disclosed that this tour will be intentionally scaled down compared to her previous extensive global treks.
The acclaimed singer and actress confirmed that the tour will encompass approximately 45 shows, which she described as not "that small" but significantly less than half of her past touring commitments. This deliberate reduction in scale reflects a conscious effort to manage the demands of live performance and prioritize a healthier relationship with her career.
Set to launch in June 2026 in Oakland, California, the "Eternal Sunshine" tour will traverse North America and Europe, concluding in London by late August. This tour follows the success of her Billboard No. 1 album, "Eternal Sunshine," released earlier this year, and signifies her much-anticipated return to full-scale live performance after a period dedicated to filming the two-part "Wicked" movie franchise.
Grande explained that her time away from music and her immersive experience playing Glinda in "Wicked" played a pivotal and transformative role in reshaping her perspective on fame, creativity, and the inherent pressures of commercial success. She shared that she has been actively "healing my relationship to music and touring over the past couple of years," discovering that acting allowed her to reconnect with the pure joy of creation, free from the intense scrutiny and expectations that once accompanied her pop stardom.
She elaborated on how the "Eternal Sunshine" album itself became a vehicle for her to reconstruct her creative process, allowing her to "reclaim certain pieces of it and put certain feelings that maybe belonged to my relationship to fame… in a box somewhere else." Grande candidly admitted that her early experiences in pop music had held "some traumas" for her, which she now feels are "dissipating" thanks to her journey of healing. She described this as an "extraordinarily beautiful thing."
Furthermore, Grande has cultivated new strategies for managing public commentary and criticism. She revealed that she now relies on meditation to detach from external reactions, pondering whether the "dance" of internalizing public opinion should truly be an integral part of being an artist, or if it should be relegated to "a box far away from me." This thoughtful approach underscores her commitment to maintaining her well-being while navigating the complexities of her high-profile career.
