Amazon MX Player Unleashes Massive Slate for 2026: Indian Streamer Dominates

Amazon MX Player, India’s leading free streaming service boasting over 250 million monthly viewers, has unveiled its most ambitious content lineup to date for 2026. This extensive slate includes more than 150 new and returning titles, encompassing a wide range of genres such as drama, action, reality, and its unique homegrown microdrama format.
Leading the charge in scripted content is "Made In India: The Titan Story," an ambitious drama exploring themes of ambition and legacy, featuring acclaimed actors Naseeruddin Shah and Jim Sarbh. Another marquee title is "Sankalp," a socio-political thriller delving into power and leadership, starring Nana Patekar, Sanjay Kapoor, Neeraj Kabi, and Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub. Sanjay Kapoor also features in "Ab Hoga Hisaab," a justice-and-retribution thriller alongside Shaheer Sheikh and Mouni Roy. The dramatic offerings further include "The Bureaucrat," an administrative drama with Amol Parashar; "Kaptaan," an action entertainer starring Saqib Saleem; "Vimal Khanna," a survival thriller featuring Sunny Hindhuja; "Waiting Hai," a cop drama with Divyenndu Sharma and Bhuvan Arora; and "Clean Up Crew," a crime drama starring Ravi Kishan, Amey Wagh, and Vishal Jethwa.
This new slate builds upon the success of recent originals like "Amar Vishwas," a legal courtroom drama with Rajeev Khandelwal, Aamir Ali, Ravi Behl, and Barkha Bisht, and "Psycho Saiyaan," a romantic thriller that garnered strong viewership with Tejasswi Prakash and Ravi Kishan.
For returning fan favorites, the platform is bringing back the crime saga "Raktanchal" for its third season. Youth-centric titles also making a return include "Campus Beats" for Season 6, "Campus Diaries" for Season 2, "Heartbeats" for Season 2, and "Who’s Your Gynac" for Season 2.
In the unscripted category, the flagship reality competition "Rise & Fall" is returning for its second season following a successful debut. The fitness reality series "Battleground" also sees Shikhar Dhawan reprising his role as lead mentor for Season 2. Additionally, the recently concluded "Bharat Ke Super Founders," hosted by Suniel Shetty, facilitated winning startups receiving significant funding of INR100 crore ($10.8 million).
A core element of Amazon MX Player’s 2026 strategy is the further development of MX Fatafat, its innovative mobile-first microdrama vertical. This strategy also includes the expansion of MX Vdesi, which offers a growing library of localized international content from regions like Korea, China, and Turkey, alongside a curated anime slate available in both Japanese and Hindi languages.
Karan Bedi, head of Amazon MX Player, emphasized the platform's robust momentum, stating, "Amazon MX Player is seeing strong momentum as more audiences embrace free, premium streaming. With our growing premium content slate and scale, we are uniquely positioned to drive the shift from linear television to streaming for millions of viewers across India." Amogh Dusad, head of content, highlighted the platform’s commitment to fostering "a diverse and inclusive content ecosystem that reflects the many voices, cultures, and experiences of audiences across the country." Girish Prabhu, head of Amazon Ads India, underscored the commercial advantages, noting that the platform's reach of 250 million users provides significant opportunities for brands to engage with viewers through content "powered by shopping and streaming signals" that yield measurable outcomes.
All these titles will be available for free streaming on Amazon MX Player across various platforms, including mobile devices, connected TVs, the Amazon shopping app, Prime Video, Fire TV, Jio TV, and Airtel Xtreme.
