The 2027 BMW 3 Series, marking its eighth generation, has been revealed as the gas-powered counterpart to the electric 2027 BMW i3. Both models are positioned as rear- and all-wheel-drive entry-level sport sedans, with the 3 Series catering to consumers who prefer gasoline powertrains. This new iteration integrates BMW’s advanced Neue Klasse technologies, updated styling, and enhanced hardware, ensuring a close alignment with its electric sibling, the i3.

Visually, the gasoline-powered 2027 BMW 3 Series shares many similarities with the i3. Key differentiating features for those with a discerning eye include the absence of tailpipes on the i3 and the presence of vertical seals integrated behind the window trim on the 3 Series, in contrast to the i3’s hidden seals. In terms of dimensions, the gas 3 Series is slightly larger than the i3, being 0.2 inches longer, 0.6 inches narrower, and sitting one inch closer to the ground.
