Young Thug Stands by Metro Boomin in Explosive LA Civil Trial

Artist Young Thug was recently observed in Los Angeles federal court, providing support for his long-time friend and collaborator, producer Metro Boomin (real name Leland Wayne), whose civil rape lawsuit trial commenced on Wednesday, September 24. Legal reporter Meghann Cuniff noted Young Thug's presence outside the courtroom, where he confirmed his attendance was to show solidarity with Metro Boomin during the proceedings. Thugger and the St. Louis native have a history of close friendship and musical collaboration, having worked together on numerous tracks including “Trance,” “Hercules,” “Metro Spider,” “Oh U Went,” “Parade on Cleveland,” and “Love You More.”
The civil lawsuit, originally filed in 2024, centers on allegations made by Vanessa LeMaistre. She claims that in 2016, during a studio session with Metro Boomin, she was under the influence of Xanax and alcohol and subsequently woke up to the producer raping her.
