YEONJUN's 'NO LABELS: PART 01' Soars to No. 1 on Top Album Sales!

YEONJUN's debut solo project, NO LABELS: PART 01, has made a significant impact by debuting at No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Album Sales chart, dated November 22. The TOMORROW X TOGETHER member's album achieved sales of 27,000 copies in the United States during the week ending November 13, according to Luminate data. This impressive performance highlights the continued relevance of traditional album sales in the music industry.

Billboard’s Top Album Sales chart meticulously ranks the week's best-selling albums based exclusively on traditional album sales. This chart has a rich history, with its origins tracing back to May 25, 1991, which marked the first week Billboard began compiling charts using electronically monitored piece count information from SoundScan, now known as Luminate. It is important to note the distinction from the Billboard 200 albums chart, which solely utilized pure album sales until December 6, 2014, before transitioning to a blended methodology incorporating track equivalent album (TEA) units and streaming equivalent album (SEA) units.

Beyond YEONJUN's chart-topping success, several other artists also secured spots in the top 10 with their latest releases. Hayley Williams' album, Ego Death at a Bachelorette Party, saw a remarkable ascent from No. 18 to No. 2 on the Top Album Sales chart, following its wide physical release during the tracking week. This led to sales of just over 22,000 copies, marking the best sales week ever for a solo project from Williams. Similarly, ROSALÍA achieved her personal best sales week with the No. 3 debut of LUX, selling 19,000 copies.

The chart also featured other notable entries and consistent performers. Taylor Swift’s The Life of a Showgirl remained strong at No. 4, with nearly 19,000 copies sold, marking a 7% increase. Stray Kids’ former leader KARMA climbed from No. 7 to No. 5, experiencing a significant 39% increase in sales to reach 13,000 units. The KPop Demon Hunters soundtrack slipped slightly from No. 5 to No. 6, selling nearly 13,000 copies, a 6% decrease.

Further down the top 10, the physical release of sombr’s I Barely Know Her propelled the album to a No. 7 debut with 11,000 copies sold. This album was initially released digitally and via streaming services on August 22. The new Wings anthology compilation, simply titled WINGS, made its entry at No. 8, selling a little over 10,000 copies. Tyler, The Creator’s former No. 1 album, CHROMAKOPIA, dropped from No. 2 to No. 9 with 10,000 units, a 75% decrease, while the Vince Guaraldi Trio’s A Charlie Brown Christmas soundtrack held steady at No. 10, selling 9,000 copies, up 37%.
