Abu Dhabi’s Yas Waterworld will unveil a major new expansion to the public on July 1, marking one of the park’s most significant developments to date. Spread over 13,445 square metres, the expansion introduces over 20 new rides and attractions, built around a new “Lost City” theme that continues the storyline of “The Legend of the Lost Pearl.”

The new features include high-thrill slides, family-friendly experiences, and the addition of a themed dining venue. Among the standout attractions is Al Falaj Race, the region’s first side-by-side dueling tube raft race, along with Al Sahel Junior, the first mini zero-gravity junior boomerango. For thrill-seekers, Bahamut’s Rage introduces a log flume ride featuring dramatic drops.

The updated park experience features new rides such as Al Mafras, a twisting desert-themed kids’ slide; Red Dunes, a closed aqua tube slide; and Dawwama Junior, a smaller version of the park’s tornado slide. The expansion also includes Bandit’s Playground, a new splash zone designed for families.

With the addition of these new zones, Yas Waterworld now offers over 60 water-based attractions, making it one of the region’s largest and most diverse aquatic parks.
