WWE Worlds Collide 2025: Celebrity Attendees and Key Match Results

World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) hosted its highly anticipated Worlds Collide 2025 event on June 7th, 2025, marking a significant crossover with Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide (AAA). The event, broadcast live from the Kia Forum in Inglewood, California, streamed on WWE’s YouTube channel, captivating fans with a blend of WWE and AAA talent just hours before the Money in the Bank PLE took place at the nearby Intuit Dome. The commentary for Worlds Collide was provided by Corey Graves and former AAA and WCW star Konnan.

The event commenced with a patriotic start, featuring Deyra Barrera performing the Mexican National Anthem, followed by Lilian Garcia singing the American National Anthem. In a moment of unity and respect, AAA president Lic. Marisela Pena, alongside WWE executives Shawn Michaels and Triple H, appeared in the ring with several luchadors for a tribute to Marisela’s late husband, Antonio Peña, the founder of AAA.

A major highlight of the evening was the return of WWE Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio. After a prolonged absence, Mysterio greeted the enthusiastic Los Angeles crowd with a brand new, unrecognizable look, sporting a thick beard underneath his iconic mask—a first for the legendary luchador known mostly for his clean-shaven or goatee appearances. Mysterio expressed his profound love for Lucha Libre and his pride in being part of its global evolution, emphasizing the cultural significance of the crossover event. Though unable to compete due to a groin injury sustained before WrestleMania, his presence was a pivotal moment for the show.

The event was also graced by numerous wrestling legends and celebrities. Among the notable personalities in attendance were Mascarita Sagradas, rapper That Mexican OT, Latin Lover, IYO SKY, Chavo Guerrero, social media personalities Foos Gone Wild, The Street Profits (Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins), Savio Vega, Damian Priest, Blue Demon Jr., and comedian Gabriel ‘Fluffy’ Iglesias, all adding to the star-studded atmosphere of the night.

Several exciting matches showcased the unique styles of both promotions. In an opening six-man tag team match, AAA’s Octagon Jr., Aero Star, and Mr. Iguana secured a victory over WWE’s LWO faction, represented by Dragon Lee, Cruz Del Toro, and Lince Dorado. The AAA stars' celebration was short-lived, however, as "Dirty" Dominik Mysterio, accompanied by Liv Morgan, interrupted from the crowd. Tensions escalated, leading to a brawl between Dominik and Octagon Jr., culminating in Dominik challenging the AAA star to a future match for the Intercontinental Championship.

In other tag team action, Stephanie Vaquer and Lola Vice made quick work of AAA's Chik Tormenta and Dalys in what was the shortest match of the night. This tag team match had its origins on NXT a few weeks prior, an interesting development considering Vaquer had recently lost her NXT Women’s Championship to Jacy Jayne. Lola Vice, in particular, has been on an impressive run, and this victory marked a significant moment in her burgeoning career. Following their win, Vaquer and Vice were interviewed by Vero Rodriguez, who spoke to them in Spanish, further connecting with the audience.

The main event featured a highly anticipated clash for the AAA Mega Championship, with champion El Hijo del Vikingo defending his title against WWE’s Chad Gable. The match was a show-stealer, with both athletes delivering an electrifying performance. The crowd at the Kia Forum was deeply invested, displaying a mixed reaction to Chad Gable with chants of “Let’s go Gable, Gable s*cks!” This chant was notably similar to the iconic crowd responses John Cena often received, highlighting Gable's polarizing yet engaging persona. Konnan, on commentary, acknowledged the similarity, noting the passion from both supporters and detractors of Gable.

Beyond the in-ring action, Vero Rodriguez, wife of WWE superstar Finn Balor, made her WWE television debut as an interviewer at Worlds Collide. In addition to her interview with Vaquer and Vice, Rodriguez also interviewed El Hijo del Vikingo before his main event match, conducting the interviews in Spanish and adding an authentic touch to the broadcast. This marked the first of potentially several appearances for her.

The crossover event also had a significant impact on some of the AAA talent. Mr. Iguana, with his unique wrestling style and charm, quickly captured the attention of the WWE Universe. His popularity surged following his appearance, leading to a notable increase in his merchandise sales on the WWE Shop, indicating a strong connection with the fanbase.

The night of June 7th was indeed a busy one for WWE. In other news from the evening, Naomi won her first-ever women’s Money in the Bank ladder match, an event that took place later that night, further underscoring the packed schedule of major WWE programming.
