2K25 ‘s long-awaited celebrity guest is finally here.

Earlier this year, the release of 2K25 received several positive critical reception on PC and next-generation consoles. While the launch version of the game featured only the base version, several planned DLC releases were scheduled for release over the year.

Earlier this year, on May 14th, the video game’s first DLC ‘New Wave Pack’, released with Motor City Machine Guns, Giulia, Stephanie Vaquer, and one unannounced celebrity guest as the downloadable superstars. However, in the days leading up to release, the company stated that all DLC content except the celebrity guest would be immediately available for download, while the celebrity’s identity remained confidential.

Now, after almost two months of waiting, 2K25 shared an update on X(Twitter) and officially announced the release of the surprise celebrity guest.

“El Grande Americano will replace the New Wave Pack’s celebrity guest. With unique entrance video/music + moveset, he will be automatically entitled to players who own the New Wave Pack, Season Pass, Ringside Pass, Deadman Edition + Bloodline Edition in September.”

The masked luchador and alter ego of Chad Gable and Ludwig Kaiser, ‘El Grande Americano’ is set to replace the New Wave Pack’s celebrity guest. El Grande Americano will also come with his unique entrance, music, video, and a brand new moveset.

While the announcement comes as a huge surprise, several fans were left upset in the comments, expressing their dejection at the announcement.

Since its release this year, the game has already released two DLCs, called the ‘New Wave Pack’ and ‘Dunk & Destruction Pack’. It is now set to release the upcoming ‘Fearless Pack‘ a few days later, on July 23rd. The upcoming DLC pack will include Penta, Jordynne Grace, Bull Nakano, New Jack, and the huge celebrity addition of KSI.
