Wizkid Soars: Afrobeat King Makes HBO History With 'Long Live Lagos' Documentary
Home Box Office (HBO) is set to premiere Wizkid: Long Live Lagos, a new addition to its acclaimed Music Box series, on December 11, 2025, across HBO and HBO Max. This 85-minute documentary focuses on Grammy-winning Nigerian superstar Wizkid and his historic achievement as the first African artiste to headline the 60,000-capacity Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London on July 29, 2023. The film chronicles his preparations for this record-setting show, which cemented his position in global music history.
The documentary traces Wizkid's journey from the streets of Lagos to international stages, emphasizing how his ascent has reshaped international perceptions of African music and identity.
