Wizkid's Wedding Wish: Superstar Asake On The Guest List?

Grammy-winning Nigerian music icon Ayodeji Balogun, globally known as Wizkid, has publicly shared his deep admiration for his contemporary, Asake. During a recent appearance on Apple Music radio alongside DJ Tunez, Wizkid revealed a specific wish: he wants Asake to perform at his much-anticipated wedding.
Wizkid disclosed that Asake's breakthrough hit, ‘Omo Ope’, instantly captivated him and turned him into a fan from the very first listen. However, he emphasized that ‘Remember’ holds a special place as his absolute favourite song by Asake, making it his chosen track for a wedding performance. The Starboy Entertainment boss did not hold back in his praise, hailing Asake as one of the most uniquely gifted vocalists not just in Africa, but across the entire globe, describing his talent as a "blessing to African music."
In his own words, Wizkid stated, "‘Omo Ope’ made me an Asake fan from the first listen. But my favourite Asake song is ‘Remember’. I think you have to play that one on my wedding day… You have one of the most special voices from home and in the world."
Beyond his musical inclinations, the article also touched upon Wizkid's personal life. The artist is currently in a romantic relationship with his manager, Jada P, who is also his third ‘baby mama’. The couple shares three children together—two boys and a girl—and Wizkid has frequently teased the possibility of a wedding in the future.
