Widespread flooding on roadways across Oklahoma City metro area

OKLAHOMA CITY, OKLA. (KOKH) — Multiple roadways are flooded across the Oklahoma City metro area on Saturday as severe storms bring heavy rainfall across the state.

North Kelley Ave near West 33rd Street was flooded, with cars plowing through the water.

N Pennsylvania Avenue also flooded near NW 133rd Street, which is just south of Memorial Road.

Other areas of impact include:

  • Covell and Air Depot
  • 7600 E.Covell,
  • Midwest Blvd and Sorghum Mill

Officials are urging drivers to stay home and avoid flooded areas. Multiple waves of showers and storms are expected throughout the weekend, with the biggest concern being heavy rain.

A flood watch is in effect for a large portion of the state through Sunday, with several counties under a flood warning.
