Kenya's 62nd Madaraka Day celebrations were held at the Raila Odinga Stadium in Homa Bay county.

The First Lady and Second Lady, Rachel Ruto and Joyce Kindiki, were accompanied by their husbands, President William Ruto and Deputy President Kithure Kindiki, during the June 1 event.
The two couples were all smiles as they posed for photos at the historic event and were joined by Azimio la Umoja leader Raila Odinga and his wife, Ida Odinga.
Photos of the three powerful couples posing for photos before and after the event have gone viral, with many focusing on the women's fashion.
Rachel wore a stylish dress with Kenyan national flag colours, high heels and a black purse. Dr Joyce wore a lovely maroon lace dress, silver block heels and a blonde bob wig while Ida donned a matching purple kitenge skirt and top and blue open shoes. She accessorised her look with a silver necklace and matching earrings.

In another story, Ruto and Raila stole the show at the Madaraka Day event with smooth dance moves.
When entertainers took to the stage to perform songs promoting national peace and unity, Raila, Ruto, and the visiting Slovenian president Nataša Pirc Musar stood to dance.
The leaders danced passionately and were joined by other politicians at the event.
