KATOWICE (Poland) - France will head into FIBA EuroBasket 2025 with a fresh new look, as Les Bleus step out at Europe's flagship competition with an impressive depth of talent, but without some of their marquee names.

The 18-man preliminary squad announced on Friday notably does not include the likes of Victor Wembanyama, Rudy Gobert, or Evan Fournier and gives a chance for some of France's younger players to prove themselves on the European stage.

Isaia Cordinier, Bilal Coulibaly, Moussa Diabate, Ousmane Dieng, Sylvain Francisco, Nadir Hifi, Jaylen Hoard, Mouhammadou Jaiteh, Mathias Lessort, Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot, Theo Maledon, Frank Ntilikina, Elie Okobo, Vincent Poirier, Zaccharie Risacher, Alexandre Sarr, Matthew Strazel, Guerschon Yabusele.

So the big question is: who becomes the go-to guy?

There's Guerschon Yabusele, who has consistently delivered for France on the big stage, the country's next generation of NBA players - Zaccharie Risacher, Alexandre Sarr and Bilal Coulibaly - as well as an elite list of players based in Europe, including the likes of Isaia Cordinier, Mathias Lessort and Elie Okobo.
