Chase later told Us Weekly that he was hesitant to come clean about the swinging scandal, but his eventual acceptance came when he stepped away from the Mormon church.
“That was the sole reason I was embarrassed to be a part of the first place was the optics,” he told the outlet in September 2024. “It was a learning experience, for sure, and looking back, we could have gone about it a lot of different ways.”
Fans learned more about Taylor and Miranda’s friendship fallout during season 2 of Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, where Taylor explained she felt “very left” by her friend during the scandal and said that she “never liked Chase a day” in her life.
“Chase came to me at the gym and told me that he had feelings for me, and basically, that was him, like, trying to open a door,” Taylor recalled, adding that she said the feelings weren’t mutual.
Taylor said she completely understood why Miranda was angry and admitted she should have told her about the conversation with her then-husband right away.
