What seed could Indiana men's basketball land in the Big Ten Tournament?

Published 1 week ago1 minute read

With just one game left in the regular season, a home matchup against Ohio State, it’s worth checking in on Indiana’s seeding possibilities in next week’s Big Ten Tournament one last time.

There’s obviously only a handful of Big Ten games left this year, just in general around the conference. But Indiana’s seeding is actually pretty cut and dry.

Right now the Hoosiers sit as the No. 9-seed in the tournament which would pair them with current No. 8 seed Illinois. Ohio State is right there with Indiana as the No. 10 seed and would bump up into that No. 9 spot if the Buckeyes emerge victorious in Assembly Hall, which would pair the Hoosiers up with whoever ends up with the No. 15-seed, which gets a bit wacky given all the 7-12 teams in the league right now.

It goes without saying that it’s very much in Indiana’s interest to beat Ohio State on Saturday for tournament seeding and strengthening its position on the bubble, which the Buckeyes are also on.
