Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Ilorin Zonal Directorate, conducted coordinated sting operations across Kwara State on Thursday, resulting in the arrest of 47 suspected internet fraudsters. The arrests took place at various locations including Awolowo Road, Tanke, Harmony Estate in Ilorin, and the Ganmo and Amoyo areas in Ifelodun Local Government Area.

According to the EFCC, these arrests were based on credible intelligence linking the individuals to various forms of cybercrime. Items recovered from the suspects include 10 luxury vehicles, 74 assorted mobile phones, 18 laptops, and a motorcycle, all believed to be proceeds of their illicit activities.

The commission has stated that investigations are ongoing, and the suspects will be charged to court upon the conclusion of these investigations.
