Weekend rain chances before summer heat ramps up - NewsBreak

Published 1 day ago2 minute read

Slight rain chances are back this weekend before that Texas summer heat ramps up soon. Read on for more details.

We are nearly halfway through July, and it seems like summer is only just now starting with rain chances mostly cutoff finally. This weekend will feature a low 30% chance for isolated showers around the area, especially in the afternoons. A few days will also see an even rarer 10% chance, where mainly sunny skies will dominate in the background. Plentiful sunshine over the next several days will keep highs in the Crossroads in the 90s, but with high pressure on the East Coast approaching Texas starting this weekend,  temps will rise to the mid/upper 90s for all of next week. Some might even flirt with 100 in the latter half.

Details on the tropics will be released over the next hour. Stay tuned for the latest!

Yes, rain chances are back for the weekend, but if you've been searching for summer after the wet last few weeks, trust me when I say it's on the way. Highs in the Crossroads will return to the mid and even upper 90s for some next week with high pressure lingering nearby. Heat indices should also approach 110 degrees to accompany these hot temps. Stay hydrated, y'all! See below for your 7 Day Crossroads forecast!
