Water Tech Inc., a national leader in water treatment solutions, marked the completion of its new $14 million Statesville facility on Wednesday with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.
The 50,000-square-foot facility, located at 125 Deer Ridge Drive, marks a significant milestone in the company’s continued growth, officials stated. It will help the company expand capacity and service for customers across the East Coast
“2025 has just been an awesome year for Water Tech. No. 1 we celebrated our 35th anniversary being in business. Then, today we are opening our sixth regional distribution center, which is this building behind me,” CEO and President Ken Farris said.
Approximately 80 guests, including local city and county leaders, representatives of the Iredell County Economic Development Corp. and Greater Statesville Chamber of Commerce members, business partners and family members, attended the ceremony.
Farris expressed his appreciation to Mayor Costi Kutteh for his responsiveness when he encountered an issue during the planning process. Next, he thanked Vincent Goodman, the company’s building contractor, and Water Tech’s Statesville employees.
“The people who will be running the day-to-day facility. We appreciate y’all,” he said.
Farris mentioned that some of the prep work hadn’t been done and his relatives from Alabama pitched in to help him get ready for today. That mindset reflects the culture at Water Tech, he said.
“Our HR manager says we have the secret sauce as a company. I can attest to that. We have something extremely special,” Farris said.
Regional representative Lauren Kennedy shared a letter on behalf of U.S. Sen. Thom Tillis, who couldn’t attend in person.
Iredell County Board of Commissioners Vice Chair Melissa Neader was among those who welcomed Water Tech to the community.
“Not a lot of companies provide these services. It’s important that we support businesses that keep our water clean. It’s a basic need for everyday life and for our future,” Neader said.
In an interview, Farris said Water Tech, which is based in Arkansas, is committed to community involvement.
“We are just happy to be in Statesville. We will be a good neighbor and want to be a productive member of our community,” Farris said.
The new Statesville location currently employs 14 people with plans to grow to 25 by the end of 2026.
This project, which began with planning efforts five years ago, features state-of- the-art infrastructure, including bulk storage capabilities, rail spur access, and full transloading operations — all designed to support faster response times, larger volumes, and more efficient delivery for regional customers.
