Palma's strike sent Honduras into the quarter-finals of the Gold Cup, where they will take on Panama.

The forgotten Celtic man spent the second half of last season on loan at Olympiacos after being deemed surplus to requirements in Glasgow's east end.

Palma made 12 appearances during his temporary spell at the Greek side as they won the league and cup double.

It remains to be seen where his future lies this summer.

Indeed, Brendan Rodgers has a wealth of attacking options at his disposal, with Benjamin Nygren set to be added to the ranks imminently. He will join from Danish top-flight outfit Nordsjaelland after scoring 16 goals in 32 games last term.
