Viral Outrage: Mum's 'Diabetes-Inducing' Grocery Haul of 32 Pizzas and 14 Blocks of Cheese Sparks Debate

A mother of three, known on TikTok as @boymomx3_b, has ignited a fierce debate online after showcasing a massive grocery haul that included an astonishing 32 frozen pizzas and more than a dozen blocks of cheese. The now-viral video, which has garnered over 5 million views, detailed her extensive shopping trip across four different stores to stock her fridge and pantry for her three sons and her parents, who recently moved in with her.
The 37-year-old North Carolina resident, who works full-time, presented a cart overflowing with a diverse array of items. Among the most highlighted were the 32 frozen pizzas, which she humorously noted almost towered over her and represented clearing out the frozen aisle of the popular dish. Her purchase also included a staggering 14 blocks of various cheeses, nine large bottles of sugary fizzy drinks, and several packs of Oreos. Beyond these, the haul featured two large boxes of mini brownies, a huge pack of Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal, a big box of Oatmeal Cream Pies, cereal bars, tea, five large bags of frozen fries, two big jars of mayonnaise, and more sugary cereals.
In stark contrast to the abundance of processed and sugary items, the fresh produce section of her haul was notably sparse. She acquired only two cucumbers, a head of lettuce, a bag of grapes, a bunch of bananas, and a single large watermelon. At the end of her extensive shopping expedition, the mother revealed the grand total of her bill: $476.68, equivalent to £352.33. She commented on the cost, stating, "Why do groceries have to cost so much," and also mentioned that the total was "a little bit less than last time but the crazy thing is that we left a lot of the stuff off the list this time because we didn't run out."
While the TikToker expressed dismay over the cost, viewers were primarily "gobsmacked" by the dietary implications of her purchases. The video sparked widespread backlash, with thousands of commenters slamming what they perceived as a "diabetes-inducing" diet for her family. Criticisms frequently highlighted the imbalance between the minimal fresh produce and the overwhelming quantity of highly processed foods. One commenter exclaimed, "NINEEEE bottles of soda THIRTY TWOO pizzas and like two cucumbers is wild," while another bluntly stated, "Diabetes is around the corner." Another critic observed, "You spent nearly $500 on groceries, and only bought 6 pieces of fresh produce," adding, "You bought more bottles of dr pepper than you did vegetables."
Despite the torrent of negative comments and public scrutiny regarding her food choices, the mother-of-three offered a concise and unapologetic response to her detractors: "Don’t watch then." This defiant stance further fueled the online discussion, with the video continuing to circulate widely.
