Viral Lush Shower Gel Dupes Flood Discount Aisles: Lidl and B&M Offer Bargains!

In a time of persistent cost-of-living pressures, budget-conscious shoppers are flocking to retailers like Lidl and B&M to discover affordable "dupes" of popular luxury products, particularly high-end bath and shower gels, as well as premium kitchenware. These supermarket alternatives offer significant savings, allowing consumers to stock up on gifts or everyday essentials without breaking the bank.
Lidl has garnered attention for its Deluxe Lavish Shower Gel, which shoppers are snapping up for just £1.59 for Lidl Plus members (or £1.99 for non-members) for a 500ml bottle. This product is being hailed as a close alternative to Lush's significantly more expensive shower gels. The Lidl offering comes in delightful fragrances such as "Relax," a lavender scent reminiscent of Lush's "Sleepy" shower gel, which retails for a hefty £27 for a similar size, making the Lidl version a remarkable £25.41 cheaper.
Another popular scent is "Dizzy Rose," a strawberry fragrance. Shoppers in online communities, such as the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK Facebook group, have also pointed out other available scents, including a "winter fairy" variant akin to Lush's "Snow Fairy," and a "honey" option, further expanding the range of budget-friendly aromatic experiences.

Beyond shower gels, Lidl is also bringing back its much-loved designer dupe kitchenware. The supermarket is offering 1.35L cast iron casserole dishes for merely £13.49, a stark contrast to a similar size from the prestigious Le Creuset brand which can cost up to £209. Available in vibrant orange, deep red, and sleek black, these budget-friendly casserole dishes are not just visually appealing but also built for serious cooking. They boast a durable enamel coating, are oven-safe up to 240°C, and are compatible with all hob types, including induction.
Their clever drop-system lids are designed to lock in flavor, making them ideal for a variety of dishes from roasts to stews. For larger family meals, a 4.7L version is available for just £26.99, with an additional 10% off for Lidl Plus members. This larger model provides an astounding saving of over £270 compared to a Le Creuset dish of comparable size, which would typically cost £305.
Not to be outdone, B&M has also entered the dupe market with a new gift box featuring three Lush shower gel alternatives for only £4. This "Glow Studio Shower Gels" set, presented in an attractive gold box, is positioned as an ideal Christmas gift or a personal treat. The collection includes three distinct scents, each inspired by existing Lush fragrances: "Berry Jam" pays homage to Lush's "Rose Jam," "Candy Floss" is a clear take on Lush's viral Christmas scent "Snow Fairy," and "Apple Pie" mirrors Lush's "Temptation."

Considering that individual Lush shower gels start at £8.80, a trio would cost £25.50, meaning the B&M set offers a substantial saving of £21.50. This budget-friendly offering has also generated significant excitement among shoppers, particularly on the Extreme Couponing And Bargains UK Facebook group, where members expressed eagerness to purchase the set.
The trend of budget retailers providing high-quality, affordable alternatives underscores a growing consumer demand for value, especially for popular products that typically come with a premium price tag. Both Lidl and B&M are effectively catering to this market by offering impressive savings on products that mimic the luxury experience, making them perfect for gifting or personal indulgence during financially challenging times.
