In a candid reflection shared on her social media, the TikToker identified as Babytopwag narrated how she left Kenya with high hopes of financial freedom and a new beginning.
Her relocation to Saudi Arabia marked what she believed would be the start of a better life, but within just six months, the dream began to crumble.
According to her post, she started experiencing frequent emotional breakdowns, marked by unexplainable bouts of tears and prolonged depression.
While she did not disclose the exact cause of her mental struggles, accompanying photos painted a stark picture.
Images showed that her once vibrant appearance was reduced to a visibly dishevelled figure battling internal storms.
What compounded her situation further was the sense of isolation as she had no one to talk to, and no one to understand what she was going through..
After months of enduring the mental toll, she gathered the courage to ask for permission to return home. That decision, she says, was her salvation.
“Tears of joy streamed down my face the moment I boarded the flight back to Kenya. I had waited for this day for so long,” she wrote.
She shared heartwarming photos capturing her emotional reunion with her family after two years apart.
Now back in Kenya and jobless, Babytopwag says she has begun healing and slowly reclaiming her happiness.
She credits divine intervention for her safe return and survival, expressing immense gratitude to God.
“I lost the job, yes. But I found myself again,” she captioned one of her photos, showing her glowing face and radiant smile.
Her story has sparked a wave of emotional reactions, with many Kenyan women working abroad sharing their own painful experiences.
