The 82-year-old former president on Sunday at a London clinic after a prolonged illness.
In a heartfelt shared on his Instagram page, Kwam 1 posted a video of himself performing a dirge in honour of Buhari at an event.
The musician praised the late leader as a “good person” and expressed gratitude for his service to Nigeria.
He also extended his condolences to President Bola Tinubu over the loss of his predecessor.
“Say baba say Buhari/ Thank him for everything he did for Nigeria/ Say baba Say Buhari/ President Tinubu please accept my condolences/ Say baba say Buhari/ A good person in Nigeria has passed/ Say Buhari,” he sings.

Buhari had been managing an undisclosed health condition and was reportedly under medical supervision abroad before his condition worsened.
Though details of his illness were not publicly disclosed, he was initially believed to be recovering before his sudden demise.
Ayinde began his musical career as a member of Ayinde Barrister’s band the Supreme Fuji Commanders (from 1975 to 1978).
He launched his solo career with the 1980 album ‘Iba’, featuring the hit track ‘Abode Mecca’, followed by ‘Talazo ’84’ in 1984.
Over the years, Kwam 1 has earned numerous accolades and solidified his status as one of Nigeria’s most celebrated Fuji musicians.
