Early in the third quarter, Panathinaikos reached their biggest lead of the night with a +8 advantage, and through Nunn they extended it to +10. Bryant then hit a three to make it 49:42. Anadolu Efes struggled heavily with finishing their plays, which the opponent took advantage of to build a game-high 13-point lead. Poor offensive decisions and defensive lapses — particularly the big men stepping out on Nunn — resulted in a 61:48 deficit. The only bright spot for the home side during this stretch was PJ Dozier, who played excellently on both ends. Thanks to his efforts, Efes cut the gap to 63:54 heading into the final quarter.
