Victoria Monét's 'Frequency of Love' Crowned Fan Favorite New Music

Victoria Monét's highly anticipated sophomore full-length LP, "Frequency of Love," has decisively topped this week’s new music poll, according to results published Friday (Oct. 2) on Billboard. Listeners cast their votes, selecting Monét’s album as their favorite new release over competing projects from artists such as Noah Kahan, Miranda Lambert, and Drake. By the close of the poll on Sunday, "Frequency of Love" had garnered an impressive 40% of the total votes, highlighting its significant impact and popularity among fans.

Released officially on October 2, the 22-track collection is a follow-up to Monét’s previous work, "Jaguar II." Ahead of its release, fans were treated to a preview of the album with three early singles: "Let Me," "Reach Out," and "Juicy." The album features an intriguing array of collaborations, including a particularly special contribution from Monét’s own daughter, 5-year-old Hazel. Hazel is featured on the track "You Mean the World to Me," a song that also includes Leon Thomas. Monét took to social media to express her gratitude and love for Hazel, acknowledging her daughter's patience and understanding during the album's creation process and celebrating her feature on the song, stating, "I am so honored to have you as a feature on this album (you sound soooo beautiful) and I am so proud of your growth in every way, your natural empathy, your humor, your respect, the way you love and your undeniable talent! Forevemore, it’s you and me baby."

Beyond her daughter and Leon Thomas, "Frequency of Love" boasts a stellar lineup of additional features, including Lucky Daye, SZA, Bryson Tiller, Chlöe, and Bruno Mars. Monét recently served as a supporting act for Bruno Mars on his Romantic Tour, building momentum for her own upcoming headlining venture. Following her stint with Mars, she is set to embark on her "Frequency of Love Tour" this month, with the tour kicking off on October 27 in Raleigh, N.C., and continuing through mid-December.

In the new music poll, "Frequency of Love" led the pack, with Noah Kahan’s new single "Draw You Out" taking second place with 29% of the vote. Miranda Lambert’s Crisco album secured nearly 7% of the vote, while Drake’s HABIBTI (FOMO) deluxe release garnered almost 6%. These results underscore the strong reception and high anticipation surrounding Victoria Monét’s latest musical offering.
