Veteran Salawa Abeni Fights Back Against Death Rumors

Veteran Nigerian musician Salawa Abeni has vehemently responded to circulating death rumors, unequivocally debunking the viral reports. In a video shared on her official Instagram page, the esteemed singer described the propagation of such false information as “shameful.”
Addressing her fans and loved ones directly, Salawa Abeni expressed her gratitude for their concern and urged the general public to completely disregard these unfounded rumors. Throughout the video, she asserted her well-being, declaring in song that anyone wishing her ill or dead would precede her in demise.
Accompanying the video, the 64-year-old songstress provided a clear caption, stating, “I’m alive, hail, and hearty. Please disregard the rumours. Some blogs will do the unthinkable just to trend. It is rather shameful. The Queen is fine and doing very well.”
This incident highlights a growing trend where public figures are compelled to refute false reports concerning their deaths. Recently, other prominent personalities, including legendary musician Ebenezer Obey and veteran actor Chiwetalu Agu, have also had to publicly dismiss similar erroneous claims about their passing.
