Urgent Prayers for Country Queen Dolly Parton as Health Battles Emerge!

Country music legend Dolly Parton is currently facing health challenges, prompting an outpouring of concern from her millions of fans. Her sister, Freida Parton, recently took to Facebook on Tuesday, October 7th, to rally support, sharing that she had been “up all night praying for my sister, Dolly.” Freida acknowledged that many were aware Dolly “hasn’t been feeling her best lately” and expressed her strong belief in the power of prayer. She urged fans worldwide to become “prayer warriors” and join her in prayer, stating her conviction that with collective prayers, Dolly, who is described as strong and loved, would “be just fine.” Freida concluded her heartfelt message with “Godspeed, my sissy Dolly. We all love you!”
This call for prayers follows a significant announcement made a little over a week prior, when Parton had to postpone her highly anticipated Las Vegas residency. Citing “health challenges,” the ten-time Grammy winner released a statement conveying optimism about her eventual return to the stage. Parton lightheartedly remarked that her doctors informed her she needed “a few procedures,” joking that it must be time for her “100,000-mile check-up,” clarifying that it was “not the usual trip to see my plastic surgeon!” The residency, originally scheduled for the first half of December, has now been rescheduled to September 2026.
In her statement announcing the delay, Parton assured her fans, “I just need a little time to get show ready, as they say.” She also firmly dismissed any thoughts of retirement, declaring, “And don’t worry about me quitting the business because God hasn’t said anything about stopping yet.”
The past year has presented the Dollywood founder with a series of significant personal hurdles. In addition to her current health issues, Parton endured the loss of her husband of 60 years, Carl Dean, who passed away in March at the age of 82. Despite her own profound grief, Parton has maintained a resilient public persona, even offering compassionate advice based on her experiences when Brandon Blackstock – the former stepson of Reba McEntire and ex-husband of Kelly Clarkson – passed away in August. Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, Parton shared her perspective: “I think you just have to be grateful for the years that you’ve had with someone, and you just try to remember the very best of all that, and take their energy that they had given you then and just kind of recycle that and let that become a part of you. Just honor their memory and know that they are in a better place than we are these days.”
