Unleashed Power: Apollo's EVO Hypercar Shatters Track-Day Expectations!

Apollo Automobil has officially revealed the Apollo EVO, a radical track-focused hypercar designed to push the limits of performance and design. Described by the manufacturer as an “outrageous” machine, the EVO stands out with its aggressive, angular styling, sharp edges, and numerous aerodynamic fins, giving it the appearance of a “Star Wars starfighter” frozen mid-motion.
Developed in collaboration with German motorsport engineering specialist HWA AG—renowned for its work on the Mercedes-Benz 190E 2.5-16 EVO II tribute—the Apollo EVO is unapologetically built for the racetrack, prioritizing performance over convention.
V12 Power and Race-Bred Engineering
At the heart of the Apollo EVO is an upgraded 6.3-litre naturally aspirated V12 engine, derived from the Apollo Intensa Emozione. The engine revs to 8,500 rpm, producing 800 horsepower and 564 lb-ft of torque, enabling a blistering 0–60 mph time of approximately 2.5 seconds and a top speed of 208 mph.
Power is delivered exclusively to the rear wheels through a Hewland six-speed sequential transmission, operated via electropneumatic paddle shifters for a race-car-like driving experience. The suspension system features pushrod-operated adjustable struts at both the front and rear, while braking duties are handled by 15-inch carbon-ceramic brakes as standard. Buyers seeking a more hardcore setup can opt for steel racing brakes and 18-inch wheels wrapped in Michelin race slicks. Standard wheels are center-lock forged alloys, measuring 20 inches at the front and 21 inches at the rear, fitted with Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 R tires.
Lightweight Construction, Active Aero, and Bespoke Exclusivity
The Apollo EVO is built around a new carbon-fiber monocoque chassis, weighing just 363 pounds—10 percent lighter and 15 percent stiffer than that of the Intensa Emozione. Instead of a traditional oversized rear wing, the EVO employs an advanced active aerodynamics system, featuring a hydraulically actuated rear wing that deploys in under one second and continuously adjusts its angle of attack. Apollo claims the system generates up to 3,000 pounds of downforce at 200 mph, exceeding the car’s 2,900-pound curb weight.
Inside, the EVO’s cabin is stripped to the essentials, constructed almost entirely from carbon fiber and ultra-light bionic aluminum structures designed to enhance stiffness and safety. Fixed bucket seats are mounted directly to the monocoque, while a sliding pedal box accommodates drivers of varying heights. A compact steering yoke with optimized grip geometry completes the driver-centric cockpit.
Production of the Apollo EVO is limited to just 10 units, each fully bespoke and tailored to individual customer specifications. Pricing starts at $3.5 million, excluding taxes and fees. Construction of the first example is already underway, with deliveries expected in the first half of the year.
