United Nigeria Airlines is preparing for a major expansion with the introduction of its first widebody aircraft operation in July 2026.

The carrier will deploy an Airbus A330 secured through a wet-lease agreement with Air Anka Airlines, a move that signals its formal entry into long-haul international markets following traffic rights approvals granted in 2023.

Since commencing operations in early 2021, United Nigeria Airlines has focused on strengthening its domestic and regional footprint using a fleet of Embraer ERJ-145 regional jets.

The addition of the Airbus A330 represents a decisive shift in strategy, positioning the airline to compete on longer international routes while enhancing connectivity for Nigerian travelers.

The introduction of the A330 widebody aircraft marks a transformational moment for the airline’s growth trajectory.
