Turkey - Tofas-ink-Hugo-Besson
Tofas Bursa (BSL) has agreed terms with 24-year-old French swingman Hugo Besson (191cm-91kg-2001) for the new 2025-26 season. He played last season at Manisa Basket (BSL). In 29 games, he had very impressive stats: 16.6ppg, 3.6rpg, and 2.9apg. He was also named League Player of the Week (2 times). Besson also played 14 games in Basketball Champions League where he recorded remarkable stats: 17.2ppg, 4.1rpg, 3.2apg, and 1.4spg.
During the 2023-24 season, he split time between Openjobmetis Varese (Serie A) in the Italian league and KK FMP SoccerBet Beograd (KLS) in the Serbian league.
Three years ago, he was drafted by the Indiana Pacers (NBA) in the second round (58th overall).
He was a member of the French U20 National Team in 2021.
Besson is a very experienced player. Besson's career allowed him to visit three different continents, while he played in six different countries. He tasted the life as a pro basketball player in Europe, Australia and of course North America. Besson has played previously in Australia (Breakers), Italy, Serbia, NBA (Milwaukee Bucks), France (Metropolitans, Saint Quentin, Chalon/Saor, Antibes and Chalon/Saone) and NBA Summer League (Milwaukee Bucks).
In 2024, his team made it to the FIBA Europe Cup Final Four. He was voted to Eurobasket.com All-Adriatic League Honorable Mention in 2024.
