Turkey - Stanley-Whittaker-ex-Parma-Pari-signs-at-Petkim
Aliaga Petkimspor Izmir (BSL) signed 30-year-old American 183cm point guard Stanley Whittaker (college: Keiser) for the upcoming season. He last played for Parma-Pari in the Russian VTB United League, where he averaged 13.1ppg, 2.7rpg, 6.5apg, and 2.1spg in 15 games last season, helping them reach the quarterfinals. Whittaker has also played for another Russian team, Uralmash Yekaterinburg (VTB United League).
He is a very experienced player, having played professionally in Austria (UBSC Graz), Germany (s Oliver Baskets and Lions), Italy (Sassari), Lithuania (Jonava), and The Basketball Tournament (Fort Wayne Champs).
In addition to making it to the Russian Cup Final Four in 2024, Whittaker's team also voted him Eurobasket.com All-German Bundesliga Newcomer of the Year in 2023.
Whittaker graduated from Keiser University in 2017 and it'll be his ninth season in pro basketball. He played also for Frank Phillips College for 2 years.
