U.S. President Donald Trump on Wednesday lashed out at Democrats and political opponents, labelling the renewed focus on the Jeffrey Epstein case as a “hoax” and ridiculing those who believe in its credibility.

In a statement posted on his Truth Social account, Trump compared the controversy to previous allegations—including the Steele Dossier, Hunter Biden’s laptop, and alleged Russian interference in the 2016 election—claiming that Democrats are recycling false narratives in a desperate attempt to stay relevant.

Trump also called out some of his own previous supporters, accusing them of falling for what he called "bullshit" orchestrated by his political opponents.

The statement read, "The Radical Left Democrats have hit pay dirt, again! Just like with the FAKE and fully discredited Steele Dossier, the lying 51 "Intelligence" Agents, the Laptop from Hell, which the Dems swore had come from Russia (No, it came from Hunter Biden's bathroom!), and even the Russia, Russia, Russia Scam itself, a totally fake and made up story used in order to hide Crooked Hillary Clinton's big loss in the 2016 Presidential Election, these Scams and Hoaxes are all the Democrats are good at It's all they have They are no good at governing, no good at policy, and no good at picking winning candidates. Also, unlike Republicans, they stick together like glue.

"Their new SCAM is what we will forever call the Jeffrey Epstein Hoax, and my PAST supporters have bought into this "bullshit," hook, line, and sinker. They haven't learned their lesson, and probably never will, even after being conned by the Lunatic Left for 8 long years.

"I have had more success in 6 months than perhaps any President in our Country's history, and all these people want to talk about, with strong prodding by the Fake News and the success starved Dems, is the Jeffrey Epstein Hoax.”

"Let these weaklings continue forward and do the Democrats work, don't even think about talking of our incredible and unprecedented success, because I don't want their support anymore! Thank you for your attention to this matter. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN," Trump added.

Meanwhile, the long-rumoured “Epstein client list” has become something of a holy grail for the MAGA movement. Believers claim that, once released, the list would expose a host of liberal elites allegedly involved in Jeffrey Epstein’s child sex-trafficking ring—proof, in their view, of deep corruption within the Democratic establishment.

Speculation around the Epstein files also provided fertile ground for QAnon conspiracy theorists, who used the secrecy to fuel claims of a “deep state” cover-up protecting a global network of pedophiles—ideas that soon found traction within broader MAGA circles.

Throughout his campaign, Donald Trump repeatedly vowed to declassify the Epstein files, including the supposed list. Before entering government, Trump allies like Kash Patel, later appointed to the FBI, and Dan Bongino, a former Secret Service agent, regularly appeared on podcasts and TV shows appealing to QAnon followers and Epstein conspiracy theorists. They pushed for the release of the files and accused the Biden administration of concealing them for political reasons.

Shortly after the Fourth of July holiday weekend, the Justice Department quietly released a memo that landed like a bombshell.

A “systematic review” of the Epstein files by justice department officials “revealed no incriminating ‘client list.’”

The memo also stated that no evidence was found indicating Epstein blackmailed powerful individuals. It further confirmed that Epstein died by suicide in his Brooklyn jail cell in 2019 while awaiting trial on sex-trafficking charges.

Since the memo’s release, MAGA circles have been in disarray, with some of Donald Trump’s most loyal supporters openly rebelling against his administration. They’ve accused it of participating in a cover-up and have called for the resignation of Attorney General Pam Bondi over her handling of the Epstein files.

Tensions surrounding the Epstein files have been escalating since February, when Pam Bondi appeared on Fox News and claimed that Epstein’s client list was "right now for review.”

Just a week later, during a White House press event, Bondi distributed binders—purportedly containing “declassified” Epstein documents—to roughly two dozen MAGA influencers.

However, the recipients quickly discovered that the binders contained little to no new information. Facing criticism, Bondi blamed the FBI for withholding key Epstein records and said she had directed Kash Patel to assemble the missing files.

Then in June, amid a public falling-out with Donald Trump, Elon Musk added fuel to the controversy by alleging—without providing evidence—that the full Epstein files hadn’t been released because the president was implicated. Musk later deleted the post.
