Troops arrest notorious gunrunners, recover arms, ammunition in Kaduna

The Troops of Operation Safe Haven (OPSH) have conducted intelligence-based raid operation at the hideout of notorious gunrunners at Golgkofa Village, Godogodo Chiefdom in Jema’a Local Council, Kaduna State, where three notorious gunrunners – Mr. Adamu Musa aged 65 years, Mr. Lukman Isah aged 35 years and Mr. Umar Jammo aged 25 years – were arrested.

According to a statement on Friday by the Media Information Officer of OPSH, Major Samson Nantip Zhakom, the troops recovered one AK-47 rifle, one fabricated gun, one AK-47 magazine, one round of 7.62 mm (special) ammunition and three motorcycles.

The arrested suspects are said to be in custody making useful confessions to aid troops to conduct follow-up operations to arrest other members of the criminal syndicate and recover arms and ammunition.

He said the OPSH would continue to leverage the support of the general public and actionable information provided to track down criminals in the pursuit of a safe environment.
