Travel Plans for Summer and Beyond

Asego announced its Summer Travel Special Plans on April 22, 2025, focusing on providing customized Global Assistance & Insurance at competitive prices for Indian travelers. These plans target popular Southeast Asian destinations such as Singapore, Bali, Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, and Sri Lanka, anticipating increased Indian tourist traffic during the summer months. The special offerings include 24/7 emergency medical assistance and evacuation services, pre-existing disease coverage for life-threatening emergencies, Asego TrackMate for real-time baggage tracking with compensation for delays exceeding four days, adventure sports coverage, and coverage for flight delays and missed connections.
Dev Karvat, Founder & CEO of Asego, emphasized that the Summer Travel Special Plans are designed to provide peace of mind, allowing travelers to concentrate on enjoying their trips while Asego manages unexpected issues. These plans cater to families, solo travelers, and groups, offering destination-specific benefits and pricing. Travelers can consult Asego’s travel agent partners or representatives to select a plan that suits their destination and travel preferences.
Separately, Holland America Line has unveiled its Caribbean season from October 2026 to April 2027, featuring 65 departures on six ships. The program includes 33 seven-day Caribbean cruises, such as the ‘Western Caribbean’ voyage with stops in Ocho Rios, Grand Cayman, and Cozumel, and the ‘Eastern Caribbean’ cruise visiting Grand Turk, Amber Cove, and either Key West or Nassau. Prices for these cruises start from £1,299 per person. Additionally, there are 32 cruises lasting nine days or more, including a nine-day ‘US & British Virgin Islands’ cruise with calls at Tortola, St Johns, San Juan, and St. Thomas, priced from £1,739 per person.
A 14-day festive voyage is also available, featuring stops in Key West, Oranjestad, Charlotteville, St. George's, Bridgetown, Castries, and San Juan, with prices starting at £2,759 per person. Most itineraries include a visit to RelaxAway, Half Moon Cay, Holland America Line’s private island in the Bahamas, which will feature a new beach club. All voyages start and end in Fort Lauderdale.
Michael Smith, senior vice president at Holland America Line, highlighted that the Caribbean offers the perfect setting for relaxation. Guests can also opt for five exclusive HISTORY Channel cruises on a nine-day ‘Southern Caribbean’ voyage, with stops in Aruba, Bonaire, and Curaçao, offering excursions such as ‘Caves & City Highlights’ in Curaçao.
