Transfer: Ex-Liverpool Star Set To Join Frank Onyeka At Brentford
Onyeka just returned from his season-long loan at German side Augsburg, and his return would naturally be a plus for Keith Andrews’ side as the Super Eagles star can operate as a defensive midfielder or a central midfielder. However, Brentford have decided to get another defensive midfielder.
According to football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the Bees are set to complete the signing of English midfielder Jordan Henderson in a free transfer.

The Englishman just left Ajax at the end of last season after a one-year stay and he will hope to play an important role for the Bees next season.
The 35-year-old midfielder has a lot of Premier League experience under his belt. He led Liverpool to their first English Premier League title in 2020. Henderson also helped them win the UEFA Champions League in 2019.
Jordan Henderson’s potential arrival at Brentford might not directly affect Frank Onyeka. But it definitely means that coach Keith Andrews does not believe that the Super Eagles can play as a defensive midfielder.

Onyeka spent last season away on loan. So his place on the team is not even sure yet. He might still leave this summer, as he has attracted some interest from some clubs outside England.
The Super Eagles star’s contract at Brentford will expire in 2027, and he has not expressed any desire to leave.
However, if he is not assured of regular game time, he might flirt with the idea of leaving, especially with the Africa Cup of Nations coming at the end of the year.
