Argentine footballer Lucas Trejo, who plays for the Venezuelan second-division club Club Sport Marítimo La Guaira, has suffered an unimaginable tragedy, losing his wife and two children in the devastating earthquakes that struck last week. The club officially confirmed the irreparable loss on Sunday.
Trejo, 38, was away at a team training camp in Caracas when the two powerful quakes hit. Upon learning of the disaster, he immediately rushed back to his beachfront home in La Guaira, one of the areas hardest hit by the seismic event. For three harrowing days, Trejo tirelessly searched through the rubble of what was once his family's home for his wife, Yanina, and their children, Aarón and Ainhoa. His brother-in-law, Ricardo Ardiles, described Trejo as
